Circular Kft., a subsidiary of the Alteo Group, has started the test operation of a new DRS waste processing facility in Kistarcsa.
The project was implemented by FE-Group Invest Zrt., which is also part of Alteo Group’s circular economy division. It is currently the most advanced facility for processing deposit-return packaging in Hungary and, following the installation of a similar system in Kőbánya one year ago, represents the company’s second facility of this kind.
The processing capacity for returned beverage packaging at the Kistarcsa plant amounts to 14,000 tonnes per year. In the future, the group plans to increase total capacity to 28,000 tonnes annually.
In 2025, Alteo Nyrt. generated revenue of more than HUF 125 billion (EUR 345.3 million), representing a 19% increase compared with the previous year.
