Budapest Stock Exchange – Sharp Rise in H1

The Budapest Stock Exchange (BSE) posted a consolidated net result of nearly HUF 3.2 billion (just under EUR 8.8 million) in the first half of the year. The group’s EBITDA came to HUF 1.2 billion (EUR 3.2 million), up 41% year-on-year.

While trading revenue rose by 52% and issuer fee income by 11%, revenue from data sales fell by 6%. Average daily turnover on the equity market stood at HUF 28.2 billion (EUR 77.4 million), exceeding the 2025 annual average by 63%.

At the end of the first half, securities from a total of 155 issuing companies were listed on the Budapest Stock Exchange. During this period, new shares worth HUF 27.5 billion (EUR 75.5 million), corporate bonds totaling HUF 1,110 billion (EUR 3 billion), and mortgage bonds worth more than HUF 67.5 billion (EUR 185.4 million) were introduced.
