The Lipóti bakery chain has completed a technology modernization at its plant in Hatvan. The investment totaled more than HUF 10 billion (approx. EUR 27 million).
The plant is the company’s largest production center and employs around 380 people. It produces about two-thirds of Lipóti’s total fine pastry output. On average, 90–100 tonnes (approx. 550,000 pieces) of baked goods are made here every day.
Lipóti Pékség started in 1992 in Lipót as a family bakery. It has since grown into a nationwide network. The company operates 325 of its own stores and 165 franchise partners, and distributes its products in 1,178 localities across the country. The group has production sites in Hatvan, Lipót, Tatabánya, Oroszlány and Kecskemét. Annual revenue in 2024 came to almost HUF 32.2 billion (EUR 88 million), compared with HUF 32.5 billion (EUR 88.8 million) last year. A 10% increase in revenue is planned for 2026.
