July 13, 2026

Green Energy Investhor Zrt., a relatively little-known player in Hungary’s renewable energy sector until now, has obtained final building permits for four wind turbines in Bana.

The company states that its overall wind power development portfolio will have a total planned capacity of 500+50 MW. The first project, located east of Győr in Bana, consists of four wind turbines, each standing 215 meters tall and featuring 170-meter rotor diameters, with a combined installed capacity of 28.8 MW.

The broader development covers 16 municipalities across three counties, Győr-Moson-Sopron, Komárom-Esztergom, and Vas.

Nationwide, Green Energy Investhor plans to install 70 wind turbines, which are expected to generate approximately 1,200 GWh of electricity annually.
