Another major industrial investment project has been completed in Pécs. Kontakt-Elektro, headquartered in Pécs, has built a new production hall with a floor area of more than 1,400 square meters.
The investment in the new building amounted to HUF 1.2 billion (just under EUR 3.3 million). The facility houses modern welding and mechanical engineering workshops. The new capacities are expected to strengthen production and assembly operations, particularly for technologies in the field of electromobility. The development project is primarily aimed at expanding the manufacture and assembly of equipment for electric buses and trucks.
Kontakt-Elektro exports more than two-thirds of its products.
However, the business activities of the company, founded in 1982 and employing 120 people, extend far beyond electromobility. The company also develops and manufactures electrical switchgear and control systems, industrial automation systems, robotic manufacturing solutions and electronic equipment. In addition to the automotive industry, its customers include the food industry, the building materials and cement industries, the energy sector, logistics, agriculture, and water and wastewater treatment.
