STI Hungary has acquired the CTR division from Complex 3H Kft. The complex thermal transport system, developed in Hungary, is a specialized technology for pharmaceutical logistics that enables the safe transportation of sensitive pharmaceutical products.
The CTR system consists of pre-conditioned thermal transport units that maintain stable temperatures during transit through the use of special thermal storage elements. While several market players offer specialized cold-chain packaging solutions, only a limited number of global providers cover the entire process, from pre-conditioning and specialized packaging to multimodal transportation, temperature monitoring, and GDP-compliant (Good Distribution Practice) operations.
The acquired division is expected to account for approximately 10–15% of STI Hungary’s current pharmaceutical business volume. In the medium term, the acquisition is projected to increase the company’s revenue by 20–25%.
STI Hungary carries out nearly 20,000 international and domestic transport assignments annually and generates annual revenue of almost HUF 9 billion (EUR 25.4 million).
