Alteo Circular Kft. has commissioned a new DRS waste processing plant at its site in Kistarcsa.
The new plant increases the Alteo Group’s total capacity for recycling beverage packaging from the deposit return system (DRS) for PET bottles and metal cans.
With an annual capacity of 14,000 tonnes, the Kistarcsa plant is the group’s second DRS processing site. A comparable facility was already opened in Kőbánya last year. The DRS sorting plant efficiently separates the delivered materials and enables their recovery as high-quality secondary raw materials.
Alteo’s goal is to become the market leader in inorganic waste management in Hungary by 2030. The project was carried out by FE-GROUP Invest Zrt., which is part of Alteo’s circular economy business division.
