June 29, 2026

PHOENIX Pharma Zrt., the Hungarian subsidiary of the German pharmaceutical wholesaler, has inaugurated a new logistics center in Győr following an investment of HUF 8 billion (EUR 22.5 million). The 6,550 square meters facility is located near the M1 motorway.

The modern distribution center will be responsible for pharmaceutical supply across the Northern Transdanubia region. Starting in August, it is expected to dispatch up to 100,000 packages of medicines and pharmacy products per day to hospitals and pharmacies in Győr-Moson-Sopron, Komárom-Esztergom, Veszprém, and Fejér counties. A dedicated 115 square meters deep-freeze storage area has also been established for specialized medical products.

PHOENIX Pharma celebrates its 30th anniversary in Hungary this year. Over the past five years alone, its German parent company has invested approximately HUF 20 billion (EUR 56.4 million) in Hungary. The pharmaceutical wholesaler’s fleet delivers around 800,000 packages of medicines daily from six logistics centers, covering a cumulative distance of 55,000 kilometers per day.

Employing approximately 680 people, the company generated revenues of around HUF 550 billion (EUR 1.5 billion) last year.
