Tiwala Solutions Kft., the operator of CoinCash, has become the first Hungary-based crypto company authorized to operate under the EU-wide Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) framework with approval from the Hungarian National Bank (MNB).
CoinCash was the only domestic provider to undergo the full Hungarian licensing procedure. The license, applied for in March 2025, has now been granted and covers a broad range of crypto-asset services, including custody of crypto assets, currency exchanges, crypto-to-crypto exchanges, advisory services, portfolio management, and transfer services. This comprehensive authorization provides an estimated 500,000 Hungarian crypto investors with a regulated, native-language alternative.
The company launched its operations in 2017 with Bitcoin ATMs and became the market leader following the acquisition of MrCoin in 2021.
