Mol Plugee – Expansion of the high-power charging network

July 30, 2026

Mol Plugee, the e-mobility subsidiary of the MOL Group, is expanding its network of high-power charging stations for electric vehicles. Through a multi-million-forint investment, new ultra-fast charging stations will be installed at strategically important locations, significantly reducing charging times for EV drivers.

The project covers nine MOL filling stations across Hungary. Site selection focused on regions where charging infrastructure remains underdeveloped, as well as locations where existing charging stations are already operating at such high utilization rates that additional capacity is needed to meet future demand. The plan includes the procurement and installation of state-of-the-art charging stations with capacities ranging from 300 to 600 kW.

Under the Széchenyi Plan Plus, Mol Plugee has been awarded HUF 396 million (EUR 1.09 million) in financing. The package consists of a HUF 393 million (EUR 1.08 million) loan and a non-repayable grant of HUF 3.3 million (just under EUR 10,000).
