OPUS TITÁSZ – Grid development

OPUS TITÁSZ completed electricity grid development projects under the Széchenyi Plan Plus with a total value of nearly HUF 41.5 billion (EUR 117,8 million) . Fifty percent of the investment costs were financed through non-repayable funding from the European Union and the state Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF).

The investments increased the amount of weather-dependent renewable generation capacity that can be connected to the OPUS TITÁSZ network by 261 MW.

The investment package also included:

  • Expansion of several substation capacities,
  • Improvements to the reliability of high-, medium-, and low-voltage networks,
  • Integration of the MAVIR Buj substation into the grid,
  • Measures to enhance supply security for industrial and residential customers in the Nyírbátor and Szolnok regions,
  • Implementation of various digitalization projects.
