E.ON – New substation in Répcelak

The E.ON Hungária Group has commissioned a new 132/22 kV substation in Répcelak with an investment of HUF 2 billion (EUR 5.6 million).

Supported by EU funding, the project strengthens electricity supply security for more than 15,000 customers in the northern part of Vas County.

Over the past four years, E.ON ÉDÁSZ Áramhálózati Zrt. has invested HUF 64 billion (EUR 180.7 million) in grid development projects across Hungary.

The new facility forms part of the Danube InGrid project, which aims to strengthen interconnections between the Hungarian and Slovak electricity networks and facilitate the integration of renewable energy sources. The joint Hungarian-Slovak initiative has a total budget of HUF 116 billion (EUR 327.6 million), of which HUF 60 billion (EUR 169.4 million) is allocated to investments in Northern Transdanubia.
