Félegyházi Pékség Kft. invested HUF 11 billion (EUR 30 million) in the project. Of this amount, HUF 5 billion (EUR 13.6 million) came from government grants and EU funding.
The company, based in the Kunság region, supplies more than a tenth of the domestic market. The family-owned business has been operating for 25 years. In 2001, it processed 100–120 tonnes of flour per month on a 2,000 square meters site. Today, it processes more than 2,000 tonnes per month across 26,000 square meters of production space. The number of employees is expected to increase to 2,000 by the middle of next year.
Félegyházi Pékség Kft. recently increased its sales revenue from HUF 34.1 billion (EUR 93.1 million) to HUF 37.3 billion (EUR 101.9 million), while annual profits are in the range of HUF 3.5–4 billion (EUR 9.5–10.9 million).
