US cable manufacturer Belden is relocating its production operations from the Netherlands to Hungary. To this end, it has signed a lease agreement for the entire floor area of HelloParks’ PT5 warehouse in Páty.
The 42,000 square meters production facility will become the company’s largest cable plant in Europe. Production is expected to start in early 2028, according to a statement issued on Tuesday by industrial real estate developer and investor HelloParks. This will make Belden HelloParks’ largest tenant. By consolidating its Dutch and Hungarian operations, the Hungarian subsidiary will play a more significant role in the company’s global production network than before.
Headquartered in St. Louis, Belden is a 120-year-old manufacturer of data cables for industrial and enterprise networking infrastructure, as well as networking and connectivity solutions. Its regional headquarters for Europe, the Middle East and Africa is located in Venlo, the Netherlands. In Hungary, the company currently operates through Duna-Kábel Kft., based in Budapest.
HelloParks Páty is an 87-hectare industrial park located in the western Budapest metropolitan area, directly alongside the M1 motorway. Completed in the first quarter of 2026, the PT5 warehouse is the fourth building in the megaproject, which offers a total of 184,000 square meters of warehouse and industrial space.
